Niku in the Violets

This picture of Niku was taken in May of 2005 when she was just a year old. There were a lot of violets blooming in the backyard and Niku liked to lay in them under the shade of the trees. Here she's chewing on a brand new hurl-a-squirrel. Tragically, it did not last long after this picture was taken.

This picture remains one of my all time favorites of Niku. The green is so bright and a nice contrast to the purple violets and the harness she's wearing. Plus you get a good look at her blue eye.
